Topic: 84to95motor match

i have a 84 toy with a 22re  motor out of a 84 2wheel drive wiring and all i also have a 95 22re motor out of a 2wheel drive also but i ve been told that the intakes are not the same that the 84 22re is like the older ones with a carb and the 95 22re is like all the fuel injet.. i have never seen another fuel injet....
 84 truck  but thats what i got if anyone  know anything about this i would be very thankful

It sounds like you got good info.  As far as I know 84's got fuel injection in 2 wheel only then 85 got it in 4 wheels too.  Toyota changed intake designs in 89 i think.  Im pretty sure they are interchangable if you have all the correct stuff to got with it.

thanks   i have been told that i can take the intake apart and use the top part that has all the wires for the computer off my 84 22re and the lower off the 95 22re the part that go,s to the head and put  them together but i don,t know if the fuel lines and injectors are the same or if the ones in the 95 motor well work with the older wiring  if anyone  knows
