Body Mounts
« on: May 30, 2007, 05:57:25 PM »
Need to replace 2 (maybe 3) body mounts in my 82. They are all in the cab.
From the factory they are set up like this.

What I want to do to repair them is this.

Will this work? Is the L bracket needed?

The stock L brackets are pretty thin ga sheet metal.
I think that washers would be better.

Should work, Go for it. I've replaced alot of floorboards and that sounds like it will work just fine.

i meant a chunk of plate instead of an actual washer, that way it spreads the contact out a little bit, im not saying like 1/4" thick, just something bigger than the contact point
