I'm a huge fan of the bumper as well both front and rear. I'm taking it you fabed it yourself? wouldn't happen to have any measurements or perhaps a jig for it lying around? possible some spare time cuz I got a 97 runner that would look great sas'd with some bumpers and clean cut design :attention:

It was about a 3 month ordeal start to driveable.. I had bumpers, cage, front crossmember and shackle hangersall in place before I even lost the IFS. so there was only about a month of downtime sitting in the shop.

Oh no.. It was a DD only a month or so... The State Patrol said it "Would be impounded!!" if they ever say it on the roads again without the bumpers lowered 7" rear & 5" front. Fender flares, front mud flaps, and redo the bumpers to be at least 5.5" wide all the way across front and rear..
I never got a ticket but I was lucky.. Pulled over 9 times before they finally dropped the bomb..  Now justa trailer queen..

Looks great.  Are you going to do anything for temporary fenders and mud flaps or is it primarily a trail rig?

I'm surprised you got that from the PD.  Where do you live? a buddy o mine has an 89 Dakota on Waggy axles and 35x14.50s he only got hassled for flaps...maybe cuz of your dovetail?  He has no probs now and it is a DD for at least 2.5 years.

I live in washington.. Im thinking its mainly cause Ive got full size axles under it.. My tires hang out a little ove six inches on each side. And that was before the dovetail.  Im never gone drive it on the street anymore after the dovetail.... Unless I have too.  :driving:
