If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

blackdiamond

I had a 2000 SS Camaro for a couple of years with Corsa Performance catback exhaust, SLP Intake Lid, K&N Air Filter, SLP Cold Air induction and I could get 24-26 on the highway while "storming" hills.  On one trip I had three adults plus luggage and I hit some high speeds going up steep hills and still clocked 24 mpg for the trip.  I never quite got a tank at 30 mph and around town is was 18-20 mph if I remember correctly.

The LS1 is a far superior motor compared to the LT1 (97 and earlier in Camaro's).   A stock LS1 Z-28 can dyno around 300 rwhp and I read an article where a professional abused one enough to get into the 12's on a hot day.

nice   :rofl2:  Just out of curiosity, what place (1st, 2nd, 3rd...etc.) and what category are these awards?  I would also say...make sure to include the price that you are actually asking for (value of the rig that you would trade for).
lol i places 1st 4 times the rest were peoples choice. all in show and shine and or muscle car class ;) and i asked for a rig worth 14k im selling it for 16k dont get butthurt cause i dont think your 4 banger with the usual mods is worth more than my V8

ya, well a truck is way different than a camaro. that has nothing to do with this. i would understand if he actually raced something professionally... anyways. what do i know....

lol ok well when you can drive a 18 speed kenworth W900 (thats the old style body with the long nose just an fyi) with a 600hp Cat motor in it and still get 7mpg(cause 5 is the norm 6 is considered high ;)  ) we can talk till then you still need to learn how to shift your vette cause my dad drives the new Z06 with 500hp and still gets 26mpg ;)

wow, butthurt??  Remember, it's not all about a motor (and by the way, my 4 banger really is worth more than your V8) ;)  I just wanted everyone else to know how much you are asking for it...little defensive huh?   :therethere:

I actually thought of it as a fairly "stock" motor.

That is a lot of luggage!

well, i dont think i have ever actually towed 100k.... but the tugs are certaintly capable of it......

its not luggage.... i work for fedex express, so its peoples possessions that get shipped.... we routinely get axles, leaf springs things like that.... anything that gets shipped fast, as its express

I have a 94 Honda and an old 21 speed Trek with a 13inch frame that I rode in elementary school if you are interested in that. That bike crawls pretty good and I will even through in a bike rack so you can drive the honda to the trails.

my dad used to drive an old twin stick ive driven one once im cool and the old Z06 has 405 the new one has 500 ;) and the funny part is even the old Z06 wiht the 405 kicked the crap outa fords new 505hp Shelby GT500 but yeah back to the point. oh and even if your crate 4 banger is worth more than my V8 its still a 4 banger me personally i would have saved the money and put a 4.3 V6 in it and had about the same power but thats just me i dont believe in wasting money. so like i was saying if you do the math between the motor mods the interior the rims the tires the sound the tint and the not to mention a stock 2000 Z28 to put it all on you'd be spending WELL over 23k probably more but thats an adjusted estimate for location ;) so unless you wana trade or buy the car lets keep your opinions to yourself  oh and dizzydevil my company wont let me run anything older than 2000 the trucks are to old and the frames arnt safe enough otherwise i woulda been drive the 82 W900 that my grandfather wanted to sell me and trust me if theres any old truck that a big company would be willing to let ya run thats it i think the motor tranny and axles only have about 25k on em so its still basically a brand new truck

The original C5 Z06 was rated for 385 hp and was later rated for 405 hp.  I have heard that there really wasn't much difference.  The new C6 is rated for 400 hp and the C6 Z06 is rated for 505 hp.

a stock z28 back in 2000 was probably more than 23k

but now, they arent worth much

you are looking @ 13k tops and thats very low mileage

Seems to me that this whole post is about opinion man (especially from you).  One of the biggest reasons why I said no to your car is that yes, I would probably pay 23K for a car like yours (which you seem to love to mention)...but as I explained, you would pay 61K for a truck like mine...you may be  :pokinit: on my truck, but you wanted to trade for it.  ;)

it would cost you well over 23k to build this car again.

Now Its not what you got in it that makes its worth. You could have hundreds of millions in it and its still only worth what someone will give ya.
KEEP THE DIRTY SIDE DOWN!

I stand corrected! so lets get back to the point of this thread...Is anyone interested in buying/trading for this camero?  :respect:  Never let it be said that i don't admit when i am wrong
