I have a complete Hy Steer kit which I made and have had ZERO problems with it in the last 4 years. I took the stock Toy steering arms, cut them off, swapped sides and turned them upside down. The total amount of "hy steer" over stock was nearly 5 inches. I had a seasoned welder by trade weld the arms back together. I did this on 4 arms originally and then took two of them and put them to the test, trying to break them, I was NOT successful! I ran the best 2 of the 4 arms for the last 4 years with never a problem. From time to time I even took them off and gave them a "strength test" to make sure they would hold up.
I used 85 tie rod ends and stock toy tie rod / drag link (new from a dealer when I made them) and never once had an issue. I replaced the ends a year ago so they have minimal wheeling time. I had this whole set up on my SAS S-10 so the drag link WILL NOT be the same length as the Toy. Because this is a "touchy subject with most" I do not want to post pics up here but would email you a few if you are interested.
For safety reasons I would tell you they are for Off Road purposes only. (even though I put more then 20k miles on this rig over the course of 4 years on the highway) I am stepping up to Hydro assist in the near future and so am going to use a more "appropriate" steering arm.
$75.00 gets you the 2 arms, tie rod, drag link and 4 newer tie rod ends.
I also have two grey cloth bucket seats that are in great shape. I DO NOT know what they came out of.... I got them in a trade and just never ended up using them.
$85.00 for the pair! - SOLD-
I am located near Eugene OR.
