Bombers are a basic V8 class, they are for guys coming out of the woodwork and the rules are pretty lax, mainly based around safety and keeping things cheap (from what I remember). Much easier to get into than superstocks. I prefer the hornet class myself, same basic rules as the bombers but 4 bangers instead of v8's.

Should be fun glen, but make double sure what the regs are for switching chassis with that class.  I'm pretty sure here that it hasta have the original chassis, but I could be wrong and it could differ at different tracks.  Oh wait, you're just transplanting the cage :smack:

As much as you'd like to build a celica, an early corolla may be a better platform to start with.  Lighter and plenty of power potential.  My boss was running one a few years back and had a blast, said it had really good power too, running a block he got from my brother.

Actually from what I understand there's a dodge model (omni maybe) that is extremely popular for the 4 cylinder class since it comes with a 2.5 liter (which is typically the largest engine you can run) and is easily modified for dirt tracking (people even go so far as to pull gears out of the trans to shave weight(they make it a 2 or 3spd vice 4 or 5)
