Please help with internals of yota IFS steering box
« on: Apr 18, 2007, 07:32:13 PM »
I am up tonight tapping my yota IFS steering box for hydro assist/zuwharrie.  I just pulled the input shaft housing (connects to steering shaft).  When I pulled it out it unwound down the spiral shaft and all the Ball Bearings came out.

I have all the balls but am not sure how to re-assemble this setup?  Do I just put them in the track at the top and spin it back on or is there a special trick?  Please help me so I can make zuwharrie.

I will have pics up in the morning (around 6:50am ET).  thank you.

ps- the cylinder is mounted and looking good!  after the box tap'age I just have to find some box fittings for the lines and bleed the system.

then a bunch of other stuff.
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

Sounds like you know where you'r balls are so you should be good.
Many people get a little discouraged when they have their balls out.
You will probably feel alot better when your balls are safe and protected.
Don't forget to inspect you'r balls closely for any damage!!

:slap:

IIRC, rotate the input all the way right and drop the balls into the housing.
