twin stick?????
« on: Apr 07, 2007, 08:05:33 PM »
I just regeared my 84. with 5.29s spooled the rear and assuied the front. Everything works great until i try to make a tight turn, the spool just pushes. With a twin stick can i just shift into front wheel drive only? and on the fly to allow the front to just pull me around turns? sorry if these are stupid questions and yeah i read everything on marlins shifter just a little unsure. thanks in advance.

Sorry but no.  the twin stick only allows you to independently control 2wd and 4wd (not front and rear).   I believe they are working on a "drive line disconect" system that would do what you are asking.  Last I heard anyway.   Good luck.

Yeah those spools like going in one direction, STRAIGHT. but for 130$ you cant go wrong, If my rig wasn't a DD i would have gone that route instead i think another lockrite will go in.
Starting from scratch again...

fror disconnect is $429.
do your hydro assist.  I tapped my own box, and it was the first time I even used a tap.  also run 39s @ very low pressure.  though I really want the disconnect as well...
