« on: Apr 07, 2007, 05:39:04 PM »
Need a first gen toy pickup ignitor.

Replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition coil already.  If anyone can think of anything else I need to replace/check to get this truck to run please let me know!!!!

Check and see what the part # is so you don't end up with the wrong one.  I went to pnp and paid $30 for one, just to get it home and find out it's the wrong one.

what about the distributor itself? a bad distributor pickup would not allow the coil to work, and thus also cause a no run condition

No numbers on mine, where it looks like there was a sticker it has been pulled off.

I haven't checked it yet.   I tested the ignitor when the truck key was just turned to on and I had volts, but when I cranked it I wasn't getting any volts to the coil.  so I just assumed it was the ignitor

My truck is an 81.  but then I was told the engine came out of a 83.  but im not sure if I believe the person I bought it from. but thats different story

where are you located and how much do you want for two of them, the 81 and one from the 83

I'm in the Paradise/Chico area. How about $35? I can bring both of them and you see which one of the 2 you need.
