ELECTRIC OR SURGE?????
« on: Mar 22, 2007, 09:01:35 PM »
I was just curious what you guys use and prefer?  I have used them both and they both have there pro's and con's.  I think I am going to vote electric because you can adjust them in the vehicle and you dont have to rely on the weight of the trailer to slow you down.   :driving:

Electric all the way. Surge have way more "what if's". Besides, throw on a prodigy and it will feel like the trailer isn't even there when stopping.

You can buy backing plates called free-backers so when you back up with surge brakes the brakes dont aply. I also like electric brakes better.  :twocents:
