Spool Installation
« on: Mar 15, 2007, 11:35:02 AM »
Got a quick question about the spool installation.  I have a new R&P and got a marlin spool.  When I install the new spool with the new ring, do I need to use the little clips off the stock carrier?  If not do I just use the new bolts from my install kit?

Thanks

Use the new bolts.  Use Locktight.  Use the old bolt retainers.

You can not use the retainers, but why take a chance of a bolt backing out and ruining your new stuff?

Definitely use locktight.  Do not over torque.
