Back in a yota

well i put the sammy on the backburner for a few, and bought my old 4 runner back. it is a 85. just mounted up the 34x9.5 tsl's on stock sr5 wheels today. also started the front bumper. i am running superflex rear springs for a 89-95 pickup. and skyjacker fronts. i wanna try to take a leaf out of front to soften them up. also making missing links for rear since rear springs r longer than stock. i plan to add pics as i go. here is a few to start.

thanks its the first time i have ever made a bumper or fabbed anything for my riggs. it took me alot longer than it should and is proly overbuilt but i am a ironworker so it should hold togather good. next is a rear bumper, sliders and missing links for rear.

just be aware of how much weight you are adding to your rig. overbuilt is good but only til the point where it can hurt you  :beerchug:

it weighs proly around 40-50 lbs without winch only real thick parts r the front piece, the gussets, and the mounting plate the rest is made from angle. so it is very strong but not super heavy. i tacked everything togather with a mig and finish welded with a arc. since that is what we use at work i am mor confident in the strength of my welds. and the mig was just a 110v

whats the winch weigh?? about 70 pounds, plus or minus a few.. that seems like around 110-120..



and since its on the very front, it might be a little bit more thats quite a bit of weight difference..

can you see how its affecting your springs??
by the way, i'm liking the old 4runner, sweet paint...
