Anybody put a I-4 in place of a V6?
« on: Feb 20, 2007, 10:30:48 AM »
Building my truggy on a 92 frame and the motor mounts are off by quite a bit...so i'm guessing that this frame originally had a v6.  anyone out there sell conversion mounts...or am i stuck with fabbing up a custom set?

I used the 22r motor mounts and re welded them on my v6 frame after the motor swap. They have to be narrowed alittle bit but its real easy. just reinforce them when you are done. I measure from the t-case crossmember forward when I set mine up, all fit in good and had plenty of room for the electric fan and radiator.
stupid people shouldn't have kids.

I built mine from 2x3" tubing and also lifted my engine 2"
