Man I went back and forth all week, searched  all over the web and saw hundeards of pictures beds. I quess it comes down to I need the truck for more than just the trails it will be my yard trash truck / fishing truck / camping truck ....  A tool box goes in the truck next so  the 4 extra inches will really help me there.

looks good, what are your plans for the flares? bushwhacker? I cut some off  4x4 front fenders and they were bigger so it let me run my rear end back 1 inch plus the raised it 2" and bulged it 1", I will post some pics of it oh yeay they already match the dody lines, only down fall is no gas door. mine is now in the bed.

Next to the old rusty  bed  :clap2: may not be perfect  but for the 1st time doing this I'm real happy with how it turned out.

Was trying to show how the new bed is shorter than the old bed just didn't do a good job of it I guess ?

I was able to get both doors, fenders, hood from the donor vehicle (2wd) all put on the Extra cab this weekend. I'm going to try and take pictures tommorow.I still have some things to work but it is getting better by the day

did the standard cab bed mount right up to your extra cab frame, no problems?

the beds are the same..... an xcab has the same bed as a shortbed, the fact that is is an xcab doesn't matter unless you are trying to find a campershell for it because the cab slopes differently. 4x4s do have a more flared fender than a 2wd though

It doesn't look like a bob bed truck till I parked next to a stock Toyota and then it was apparent.

Yea just like jimbo74 said bolted right up no trouble.

The only reason I used a 2wd truck as the donor vehicle is because it hard to find a 4wd truck for parts around here and when you do find one none of the body pannels are straight  :_order:
