it wasn't flat?  you could make a small spacer with one end ground to match the angle and the other flat to meet the truck.

I have seats from a 1990 Honda Prelude in my 85 4Runner. The passenger outside rear bolt was the only one that didn't line up, but the fix was as easy as drilling a hole through the body and using a nut and bolt. These are excellent seats that have a decent amount of side bolsters and an adjustable lumbar on the drivers side. Highly recommended!

2 gen 4runner seats fit good , these are in my 83, all I had to do was drill the 2 back holes, A friend did the same to his 85, and I think they just bolted in.

I put a set of Prelude SI seats in my 85 Xtra cab. I posted a thread a while back and posted pictures.

Cut off your stock mounting tabs and just weld them on the new seats.

Hey Jud, after reading Kurlee Daddee post, I was reminded of the fact that I actually did modify my Prelude brackets. I originally had the prelude seats mounted in my 86 Accord and at that time I had to remove the outer portion of the prelude sliders and replace them with the Accord sliders. If you're already in the junkyard searching, see if you can get the accord sliders too to make the install go easier.
