Nice, the Twisted Metal Fab buggy is bad ass. I was actually out there that weekend they busted their t-case, I was just messing around I hadnt been out there in a while and they rolled up so I sat and watched em beat it

I remember driving past their house before they started TMF and seeing dozens of different rigs getting built in their in-home shop. They do some awesome work, they are building a truck for one of my friends right now actualy.

The red extended cab toy rig? Super clean lookin? That one is done and out the door, that truck was beautiful all said and done. They have a Cobra in there now...I think thats what it was. Some little hotrod thing under a tarp. :gap:

I havent done much lately to the 4runner. I have been really busy with school and have just been stock piling parts and waiting for a good weekend or two to get some :pokinit: done. I have decided to swap my third members so I can get an Aussie locker. As far as I can tell, as long as I clearance the front housing the V6 third member will fit in the front axle.

I need to rebuild my front axle or at least replace the trunion bearings/wheel bearings and I have some MC heavy duty seals for both the front and rear axle I need to install when I pull the axles apart.

I did however get my steering stabilizer installed. It did help tighten the steering wheel up a bit which is nice. I still think the random death wobble I get is because of the front axle needing new bearings though. I am going to install some add a leafs to my 63s to lift the rear a little more and then swap my rear 12" 5125s up front and put some 14" 5125s out back. Hopefuly going to do it sunday cuz I have to split and collect a bunch of firewood before it starts raining tomorow.  :smack: I also finally got my 35 spare mounted on a rim.

Anyway here is a recent crappy cellphone flex shot. Need to trim those rear fenders!

Well the other day I didnt feel like doing homework so instead I installed my add a leafs and swapped my shocks around. Put the 14" 5125 out back and replaced my 10" ranchos up front with 12" 5125s. The add a leafs helped even the rear a little but I still need to do a drop shackle hanger in the rear to get it just right.

Here is where I mounted the stabilizer. I've seen it mounted a lot of different ways but this seemed the most logical spot.

Purdy new shocks and add a leafs

New PS box and front 5125s

My dog Jada strikin' a pose with the slightly higher stance on the rear end

In the next week or two I will be getting my dual cases installed.....  :hyper:

A few weeks back my buddy Kyle wanted to go to Fordyce but all his fresly built truck was lacking was a dual case adapter plate. Well I have had my  :turtle: adapter collecting dust in my garage because I couldnt find another tcase locally. Kyle made me an awesome deal I couldnt refuse....

If I let him borrow the adapter so he could go to fordyce with his new truck, he would give me his second case and install the duals into my truck for me! He works at a shop called CD Performance in Grass Valley and he is going to let me use the shop for free while we put it in and he is even getting me the shop rate on some new drivelines. So hopefuly we can start either next week or the week after turkey day. After that I am going to do a dif swap and get an AussieLocker for the rear. Then I hope to be spending a lot of quality play time in the snow just as winter kicks in.......

Make sure those shocks don't bottom out, you may run the risk of damaging the shocks.

i think 14s are too long but thats my :twocents: the one can legthen but the opposite shock can only go like 3 inches compressed and you want a happy medium... I hear you want 14s in front and 12s in the rear??? I am not sure but they just look long under there. I am running 10's but after I change my springs I am going with 12s.

No I had 12s out back, put the 14s up front and there was even less travel when I had them up front, so i swapped them around. I am going to be lifting the rear end about another 2 inches with a drop shackle hanger so when I do that it will give those shocks a little more distance. As it sits right now the uptravel is great and even when stuffing a tire there is still about an inch showing. It will a much happier medium when I get the new shackle hanger. I also put much longer bump stops for my dual shackle in the rear. this helped too and with thet add a leaf and new bumpstops the tires dont rub in the rear hardly at all, and at full stuff the shock still has a little over an inch of shock body showing.

Went out wheeling yesterday at Greenhorn. Didnt get many shots because I forgot i had brought my camera. Nothing spectacular, just screwing around. Managed to flex my truck out like crazy and my rear shocks never bottomed out. I thought for sure they were going to but they actually work out great.

The guy below in the Chevy didnt have 4wd and somehow managed to get high centered on the only big rock in the area. He had to get towed by the other two trucks all over the place because he kept getting stuck.  :shake:

Also anyone in the Grass Valley are or nearbye should come out with us and a bunch of pirate4x4 members to Greenhorn for a clean up day. Its on Sunday, December 2nd starting at 9AM. Here is the thread with the information. We are trying to prevent BLM from shutting Greenhorn down so we have to take a big inititive and keep it clean and show them we are willing to work to keep our trails open.

http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=39223.0

Please come if even if you dont have a truck to haul stuff with, the extra manpower will be greatly appreciated!

Got the "stock" tcase and my old crossmember out today. Tomorow the second case and my adapter get pulled out of Kyle's truck, combined  with my case and put into the 4runner. Then I just have to wait for my drivelines to return.

Hoping to have my truck going by this weekend so I can go try out dual cases for the first time  :driving:

Check the classifieds on here, pirate4x4.com and craigslist. I see good deals on 4runners all the time but they are pretty plentiful here in CA. Those are your best bet though.
