Sadly, no

I do have a big ol pile o projects, but that's my own damn fault!  I gotta stop fiddling with this one, then fiddling with that one, then........... getting nothing really done.  I do need to finish the head gasket job on my 82 2wd so I can sell it and have some cash again!

I don't think that'll happen.  It'd be neat, not to mention propane cost way less than petroleum distillate, but my main goal right now is to just have a working 4by.

Sho nuff!  Worst part is I can't just hit the crank and cap and clean them up, slap in a new bearing and go.  I pretty much have to tear it all the way down, clean it and probably find another crank   Not really worth it for an engine with 370,000 miles.

I'll hopefully get the 20r block cleaned up this weekend, but I still haven't ordered my head gasket so it won't matter either way :shake:  I need to sell something in order to take another step forward with this project.

Thanks, I'll have to check them out.  Luckily I have a spare 20r block in storage that I can rob the crank from if need be.  Somebody else just linked that seller recently too, maybe you in another thread :headscratch:

May ge going a slightly different direction with the engine.  I took the head from my 82 2wd into work, cleaned it up some and took it apart.  Spent a loooong time trying to clean the years of grunge off, put it on the glass table and it seemed fairly flat.  Grabbed my feeler gauges and found a slight gap, a bigger gap, then found .015 gap :yikes:  The pisser of it is I can't just clean it up and slap it on the truck now, gotta either have it shaved or find another.

Looks like it'll cost more than I can afford to spend right now to fix the 2wd.  I'm thinking I'll take the 22r block out of the 82, clean it up and swap over my 20r head and switch to the 4wd pickup and pan.  That'll atleast get me closer to getting the 4by back on the road, then I can either find another good 22r head later or save up to get the machine work done and install it on the over-bored 20r block and stick that in the 2wd.

Nothing is set in stone, just kinda weighing my options.

Gotta get some more junk listed on the fleaBay.  I hate to see it go because it'd be so hard to find another one, but you'll get money for the manifold and carb you have stashed away...

Naw, I really think that's worth saving.  Got anything else to sell?

Probably, just get so tired of the ebay bull crap and fees.  "list for only 99 cents today!", then I list something and it costs $5.85??  I have some stuff for sale on craigslist but not many people buying.  Maybe I'll list the 20r holley intake on ebay this next week :dunno:

You gotta read the fine print.  The 99-cent listings are for non-automotive stuff.  If you have a set of throw pillows or an antique teapot for sale, that's the kind of crap they let slide on the 99-center.  eBay comes with its fair share of hassles, but it is still the best way to get a decent price if you have something worth more than a couple of bucks.

That reminds me, I have to get my old 13x7 wheels photographed and listed today...

True, I did get way more than I thought for a set of 15x8s I bought with tires off ebay.  I have to go to storage today and see if I have some stuff that a guy is looking for, may as well spend a few minutes and grab more things to ebay.  The guy wants about 15 items, and I think I have about half.  Nothing major, but every little bit counts!

Sweet.  Any clean early MR2s?  I need a black dash pad and wouldn't mind the front spoiler from an '87-'89 model if they're not already ruined.

:psss:  It's nate, too lazy to sign in under my name :haha:

Didn't get over to the car side, made a quick run to get what I wanted.....well, some of it anyway, then came over the hill.  Buckhorn was sliiiiiiiiiiick!  Saw 3 cars off the side of the road in the first several corners, slide in a few myself despite going slow.

Slight chance I'll go back this weekend.  If I do I'll look for your parts.

I miss Buckhorn.  Nothing like it around here, leastaways not that I've seen yet.  Just let me know if anything looks good.  There isn't much in the way of JYs around here that still bother to keep old stuff, and if they do they want a mint for it.
