AND THEN....

Mark got started working on the fireplace. It is coming along GREAT! I'm really excited about how it's going to look...

A before pic I posted earlier:

Getting started...

The opening where the TV is going to go...

More progress....

Punji wall... :yikes:

The wall this morning with the punji sticks removed:

I wish that were the case. I ordered them online and checked the receipt. I made a PDF copy of it so it's not like it's even what they sent in an email. It was an exact screen capture of my final reciept. It was all my fault.
The only thing I can figure is I had the curser still in the inside/outside selection box when I went to scroll and inadvertantly changed the selection.
But I could have SWORN I double checked before I hit the ORDER button. Apparently not.

Well Ive decided to get rid of the awful pink and burgundy living room! also painted my kitchen red as a suprise for my wife.. she begged and begged and i said no only to do it while she was at school...

ok heres the pics.. first one is my humble home then the before pictures followed by the aftershots.... dont make fun of my pornstar couches. also we plan on putting carpet in the TAN room because the tile doesnt feel liveable if that makes sense..

I love that backyard too, just not when I get stuck and get a 700 fine and a criminal t-pass ticket! but you cant beat the view and those mountains continue as far as you can see south... the house faces south and the mountains you see are the northern tip....

MWM, I love all the projects in your house! beautiful.. I love tile thats going to look so sweet when you get it done and plaster your flat screen in there! is it going to be a exact fit or have a lil gap around it.. hopefully it will fit and the tile in there doesnt take up too much room! LOOKS AWESOME 1 Turtle point for Diane.   :beerchug:

I don't know about all that red, NAT, not a big red fan, but whatevah blows yer skirt up! (but it does beat pink and burgandy! LOL)
Is that you in the third picture?
What's with the imagine?

I am usually pretty good at UncSpeak but that one was pretty perplexing. I think he was insinuating that the red wall looks like a jeep with bondo and primer but I don't know where the 2 comes in to play.

No thankfully that is my friend curtis.. I wouldnt make the mistake of letting my mug get out on this site... not with all the alpaca farmin going on.  My wife really wanted it and it actually turned out good. the room where the pink and burgundy was is now tan.. I only did the kitchen red. looks good tho were buying new black appliances and all of our countertop appliances are almost the same red with black knobs so it looks ok... I really dig what you guys are doing with your place.

 OK OK .. a TRUCE

anyway... more pics ...

Sat. Mark decided to repaint the ceiling, he didn't like how shiny it was and kinda streaking. he was going to roll it but by the time we got down protecting the walls and floor he decided to just go ahead and spray it.

On Sun. Mark got to work on the fireplace... he was hoping to get to work some on the mounting for the plasma TV but the tiling was WAY more work then he expected... but it is looking MAHVELOUS...
