If you've got a shop manual it should get you there. The wire colors didn't all match up for me either, but the locations did. Also, don't compare this pinout to the shop manual, because they don't match. This pinout counts every wire slot location in the plugs, where the manual only counts the ones with wires in them, so it comes up with a smaller number. Hopefully the manual will do it for you! My truck didn't match up perfectly with what color the manual talked about either, but I have an '83, and an '83 manual...who knows.
