as far as the connection to the coil goes, I used a tester to check for voltage coming out of the plugs shown on an earlier picture by someone else. The thread said that you could attach the tach to either the plugged end (I'm assuming its the one with the rubber 'plug') or splice as shown in the pic to the other plug (each is supposed to give a signal). When I tested each connection I got voltage coming out of the one with the rubber plug but not the other one. Am I missing something here? Short of having a ground issue with my tester, it would seem that only the one with the rubber plug is giving me power (signal) and should work for the tach.
