It was about 130am and My buddy was over and we were working on my bike. the music was up loud in the shop but i thought i heard his 4runner start so i killed the music, And sure we heard it trying to drive away. I have a 98 Chevy z71 with to much power. we jump in it and chase after this head I caught up to him quickly we called the cops and they sayed they would be there in a few so we made the chose to stop him our selfs so Ive seen the pit move down on TV (ha ha) my buddy told me to hit his runner its lifter on 37 mind you my truck is stock 4x4 but suck.so the runner went to make a right turn and i rammed the back Conner and tire the runner spun around and was facing us.( well that didn't work as planed) So Then the runner came flying by us and there was a chic driving it. we were like what the hell well when i hit the runner i broke a head light and were got back behind the runner the dumb ass cops pulled me over for no head light . We watch ed the runner drive away once the cop got next to the window we told him he ran to his car but i was already gone trying to find her. but it was gone. well about 6 hr later the cops found it striped the only thing they left was the trans and ruining gear, body nothing was left in side of it. they made quick work of it. My buddy is so pissed at the cops for stopping us and not the runner.

Dude, why'd you stop?? Just call 911 on your cell phone and tell them they're chasing the wrong vehicle.  Ya know, put your hazards on but keep drivin?

Wow so close to home, cops r freakin' retarded. Id sue, thought they had units on their way for the stolen runner.

You shouldn't have stopped man. If I would have been on the tail of whoever stole my first gen I sure as hell wouldn't have stopped.

Thats a shitty deal.... I wouldnt have stopped if someone jacked my toy, theyd be sorry they did! No finger prints?  Keep an eye out for parts for sale!

post a list of all of the mods/parts. Im in the market for parts, so ill be looking as well. and if I can ill set up a way to catch these theives in act of selling stolen property.

Sucks what happened but I don't see what the officer did wrong that pulled you over for the light being out. How was he supposed to know that the vehicle you were behind was stolen? Sounds like he was doing his job. On a side note if you as an untrained person in a pit maneuver had not attempted it, you'd not have broken a headlight in the first place. I guess it always someones fault. I give you credit for tailing the thief but you should have done just that and not tried a dangerous maneuver such as that, plus you'd have prevented the end result in which you lost the truck. You could have done more damage than a head light or even injured someone.
