Who else runs like this?
« on: Dec 06, 2006, 10:41:23 AM »
I have some calmini parts on my rig, and it is pretty wicked.
3" lift Calmini springs.  Trail tough 2" lift (5") shackles.  5" Lifted calmini shocks. and extended brake lines.

Is anyone running this setup, and is it sprung under like mine or sprung over?

Mine confortably seats 31" tires with no rubbing, but eventually I will be running stock rears up front with missing links and the Calmini springs in the rear when I spring over.
On my dads rig, he is running 2" rear YJ's and rears up front and gets roughly 33" of articulation, but I know if I get missing links and longer shocks (after a spring over) I can get pretty good artic and run 35's with no prob.
Stock 82 LWB on 33's welded in the rear.  Amazes me!  Been through 4 motors in 2 months though...

seems to me like if you run stock rears up front with the 3" springs out back spoa that you will sit a couple inches higher out back than the front... i dont think the calmini springs are gonna flex near as good as the stock springs do either.
Zuks are more than a hobby...
