I think I came across a stolen yota
« on: Dec 01, 2006, 03:41:54 PM »
Can anyone do VIN checks? I think i have bought myself a stolen truck and i have no way to get to the dmv, nor do i have money to send to an internet site to buy one. The websites i went to said that there are 7 records, but i cannot access them without money. maybe anyone already own one of those programs? jt4rn67d9h5051810

Hell, if it was stolen, don't you think they would want to check into it? At least so they know.

What makes you think it is stolen?

Where did you get the money to buy the thing since you don't even have $11 for DMV.

its not at my house nor is there any official paperwork saying that i own it, so i "should" be alright. i think it is stolen because of some disconnected alarm stuff, a nice camo rattle can job, and some tell-tale hints on the column. i am just curious as to wether anyone could help me out with a vin check.

CHP should do it for free if you tell them why.  They did it for a buddy of mine, told him it would be $10, but he told them why, and they were there in 20minutes to run the # and they did it for free

Do you have any pictures of the truck?  Maybe someone here will recognize it.

not stolen. a very nice old man owned it, whom i knew anway, and let it go to a needy grandson that beat it to hell and back. i finally got the pink slip. i am sorry to concern you all. it is amusing though, just how much damage and abuse a yoda can take...
