need help with fuel/carbuerator problem

so heres my problem.... after running my truck on the highway for 15 minutes or so it starts to cut out it seems like and i can pump the gas and hold it to the floor and nothin happens then it cuts in and out and i have no idea wahts goin on and then when im on bumpy mountain roads after it bumps around for awhile it does this.... or when i run it pretty good while wheeling... any help is appreciated  also if i stop for and shut it off for 10 minutes or so then go again it seems to run just fine ... for a little while

my truck used to act similar to that when my fuel filter was shot
