I have an 84 G-52 tranny out of a shortcab s/b bucket seat ,22r carb'd truck.
what else, ie; other years&models, is this a direct bolt in for?

Your forward shifting bench seat carbureted style G52 transmission, (all 84' 4 runners, 84' SR5 short and long bed, and all 84' x-cab trucks are bucket seats, all other 84'-88' trucks are bench seats) is a direct bolt into any 84' thur 88' carbureted 4x4 truck.
