The weather is actually really nice out here right now. I suspect it will get down in the low 30s, nothing real bad.

No, this is just a run that the club wants to go on to give everyone a chance to get on the trail without having to work. They said "NO WORKING ALLOWED" Just to make a stab at the fact that some have worked very very very hard to get the trail open and yet they have not gotten a chance to actually get up there and enjoy it for themselves. I wished I had joined the club earlier this year so I could have helped. It's ok though because I will for sure get plenty of action next season

As for the trail being closed, the Forest Service is in charge of that, and the standard procedure is this:

The Dusy Trail will close if:
a) It is November 1st.
or
b) There is a large snow storm before Nov 1st.

What does it take to join the club.  Looking to join a local club.

You need to attend two meetings, and fill out the application. Then the club members will vote for your acceptance during the next club meeting. New member dues are I believe $45.

Just start attending the monthly meetings. The next meeting will be held next Tuesday, Oct 10th at:

    Beto's Mexican Restaurant
    4770 East Clinton
    Fresno, CA 93703
