Sending unit adapters for 302 swap
« on: Aug 28, 2006, 04:28:25 PM »
Would anyone happen to know the nipple sizes and thread sizes for the oil sender and temperature sender for a 1992 4Runner that had a 22RE motor in it. I need to find some adpaters so I can install these into a Ford 302. I see there is some adapters that Autometer offer but I am unsure of what size to order. I am hoping that maybe someone who has done a swap like this might be ablet o help me.

the guage sensors are usually like 10mm x1.0 pitch (JIC Fine)

At least thats what I recall.

It could also be 10mm x 1.25 pitch (JIC standard pitch)

Thats was on a 22RE motor - the oil pressuer switch and the temp probe.

But if yer doing a 203 swa - arent the Ford senders pretty compatible?
The pressure switch should work OK.
yeah yeah - still IFS...

Is there anyway to check to see if the pressure switch is compatible somehow or should i wait and see when I get the motor installed and see where it runs?.
