pending purchase
« on: Aug 22, 2006, 10:02:59 AM »
I'm looking at picking up the following and was wondering if this is something I can pick up without having to worry about it being worn out or a total POS because it's been misused (basically I'm asking if these'll hold up to anything regardless). I've already said that I'm new to Toyotas, so I just don't know about them yet. The way I see it, it's about 1/2 price, and I was really hoping to get a dual setup. Also, can I upgrade to 4.7's at a later date if it's stock gears (he hasn't returned my email yet on that)? Thanks.

Used Marlin dual t-case adapter with a top shift crawl box attached. Has about 10,000 miles on the adapter, and unknown miles on the crawl box. work fine when it was installed. Includes shifter for crawl box. Needs to be resealed. I pulled it apart to make sure everything looked good. Was in a buddies 83 toy. $350 obo

yes they are near bullet proof,  and you usually put the 4.7 set in the rear case

So the idea would be to rebuild MY case with the 4.7's, right?

right

also  is it a Marlin crawler  dualcase  or some "other" brand  it really makes a difference,   if Marlin,  get the number from the adapter  and it can be traced to the original owner
