My "new " rig
« on: Aug 08, 2006, 08:46:32 PM »
I say new because it is new to me, well the frame and cage. Thought the frame is the exact same as mine. 85 extra cab. Still have a few things left before I can wheel it, like one new cross member, floor support( had to cut most of the tunnel out due to flat belly), fix a water leak, and get shocks and a little wiring. I've only got 2 pics right now, but will have more tommorow if the weather permits (monsoon season) :shocking:   Oh, and paint it. Any suggestions oon a color?

Yeah, it was defintly built to take a beating.  :yesnod:I am going to change a few thinks on the cage though. I post up on that when I finally do it. Been thinking yellow, Every rig I've had has been yellow at one time or another. Would like to go with something different, but there are not to many colors/shcemes left nowadays. My wife said she wants to pick the color but that kinda scares me!! :yikes:

Tahnks.

Heres a couple more pics. I had to cut alot out of the floor board as you can see in the first two pics. The other is my dash, or the lack of, and one of the spare and flatbelly. My wife says metallic green or blue for the paint. Might go with one of the them.

Thanks. Might be able to get it next weekend so there will be more pics.
It cost me the price of gas to drive about65 miles :gap:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A friend built it (just the cage), and wheeled it for a while then decided to build a Formula Toy, so he gave me the frame and cage. I just took all the running gear outa my rig and put it in this. It's almost exactly what he had but flatbelly and Irok's instead of MTR's.

Took it out this weekend, it did good, but had some issues with the front shackles, mostly my fault!! :hammerhead:and had the return fuel line swapped with the chracoal canister line  :smack: Then on the way back to the trailer  the return line on my steering blew. It was cool cuz I was only 100 yards away from the trailer. :gap: No pics, but got some video, as soon as it's availible I'll post it.
