Never heard of it being on a web site. It is a well guarded secret with the guys up north because it is still a pretty clean trail unlike the Rubicon. They get all butt hurt on Pirate if you post pics of Barrett on Pirate because they say all the yaahoos will go there instead of Rubicon and thrash it.
Any way, for the most part, you show up and if the gates are open, you hit it. If they are closed, you head up the road and do Rubicon. As soon as the trail gets any rain on it, the rangers close the gates. I've heard stories of guys getting locked on the trail because after they started the trail, it rained and the rangers locked the gat with them still on it. They're real careful of added damage from water runoff and the damage incurred from wheeling with mud on the trail.
