Info needed 84 to 88 bed info Domestic or import?
« on: Jul 23, 2006, 06:55:10 PM »
I think this is an import bed, but recently I have ordered Bushwacker flares for this truck and they dont fit ( Import style )
Thet are about 2.5 inches to tall and dont look good or fit right. The flares are not cut out.

Any info would be appreciated

I may be wrong but I always thought the import beds had hooks on the outside while the domestic look like yours does.

Looks like the 7' bed that all 4x4's came with, maybe your new flares are designed to have to trim some sheet metal to clear bigger tires?

I believe you own a "domestic" bed that was found on all of the 4X4s from 84-88. The 2X trucks (usually the "floor mat special") came with the "import" bed (lip at the top and hooks) and the "domestic" bed found it's way onto SR-5s etc. :twocents:
