I took one out of a Toyota celica gt. It's a 3 spoke steering wheel and got a cover(w/o airbag) from Hick's airbag covers for like $70. It was a perfect fit.

realize you are removing the airbag if you put on an aftermarket steering wheel.....

im not sure, but it might even be illegal to do that... im sure there is some stupid law regarding it

Yes I know, I am going to call the garage I take my truck to for inspections and see what they say about it. The only reason why I want to do this is that someone broke into my truck and stole my whole steering wheel for the air bag and attempted to steal the passenger side air bag to, and my insurance company wants me to shell out a $1,000 for my deductible to cover the window and the steering wheel / airbag and that plastic piece that covers the driver side airbag.

From what I've seen in the past they're listed as optional equipment. The only one's that would have any problems with you removing the airbag is the insurance company. But each state has their own laws.

you can get MOMO adapters for momo wheels from any import car place.
http://ltbmotorsport.stores.yahoo.net/hubkit.html - has a good variety, but not sure if they have the 96+ for Tacoma.

for dealer locations of said product, http://www.momousa.com/dealer_locator.php?zip=90000&distance=50
