my engine is my baby but its also injected... is the injection that much better? ..... it will do 90 no problem probably less then three minutes to go zero to 90...it will do fifty in second gear. 31s and stock 4.10? you can call me a liar but I dont care. but remember, 30k miles on moly rings, torque plate honed block, oversized valves and an RV1 cam. and I have had it up to 100 without fighting for it.... I will see if I can clock my zero to sixty
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

My 80 could do 90 with no problem in 5th :shhh: might drop to 70 on longer hills but going to Moab it would really bog down. Don't forget the effects of altitude on any engine, the higher you get the less power you will have. I can start out on a trip to Big Bear and have gobs of hill climbing power and by the time I get there I'm wondering wtf? Then I have to remind myself on my altitude and that I've probably lost 1/3 of my power, that may not effect a V-8 as much but a squirrel is out of breath up there.

my hybrid could probably hit 90 without too much trouble, but i'm sane and won't push it past 70.  if you do faster than that on swampers you deserve what you get...

Im at see level...well close enough.....whats weird is it used to have more power... or maybe a better clutch....but I used to be able to spin my 31's through third....now it wont even chirp them in first if Im in a strait line......could be that my diff seems to be "locking itself" so I might just be feeling two tires pull now instead of just one, meaning more power...less sound

you guys suck!  I am looking at these numbers screaming LIAR LIAR!!! than I realized you are all around sea level...  Up here in the mile high city, nothing is real fast.  And to top it off we have some BAD ass hills that are 10k+ feet high.  I wanna see you head up one of thos at 80mph in a 22r/re.  My 97 chevy 1/2ton even bogs down on thos bad boys!

Anyway, I have a built 22re that I would imagin is pushing 140ish and I can cruise much better than the other 22r/re's that I run with, even with my quad in the back!

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

It's wierd, my truck ran the same at any level with the 22r.  the 22re i just put in has a miss at the altitude i am at right now (about 1800ft), but when i get up to the rubicon or Moonrocks is runs great.  i am not smart when it comes to engines so i don't know what is wrong, but i am not goin to deal with it right now.  when i still had the 22r in it i could go 70mpg on the freeway all day on flat ground with 35's.  but when i got the 37's i could barely go 65 on the same freeway.

Well when you went from the 35's to 37's you added around 60 pounds plus the rotational force yadiyadiyada

you guys have to calculate the tire size into the speed reading...can't just go off the speedometer.

so with 33's or bigger tires i should get 5.29s or 4.88s

I have 33's and 4.88 gears.  I drove from Washington State to Moab a few months ago and can drive between 65 and 80 depending on the wind and grade.

I think 5.29 gears would be too low and really force me to push the rpm a bit high for long trips.

OK....my truck will go 60mph in second gear from the speedo.....? dont kwow what it really is....and it gets there in about 10 seconds? I really need to get my wife to check it....badly, I have done over 100......its getting 20 mpg. all with factory/unknow gears? should be 4.10:1  but I got the truck with 215k on it so who knows what PO did to it....the engine is all mine.....I built it.....all it needs is a fan shroud so it wont get quite so hot.....btw, MINE MISSES for some reason as well....dont know why though
