Topic: 3.4L engine VIN?

I know where there is a 3.4L and I don't know what it came out of, or what year it is. Is there any numbers or codes that will tell me what year the motor is and what it came out of because I need to get a few parts for it after I buy it.

Is there even a VIN number on the block? I asked a guy at the Toyota dealer and he said he wasn't sure if there was.

Nevermind. Found a 3RZ!!!

you would rather have a 3RZ then a 5VZFE?, damn, what is it about these 4 bangers that everyone loves so much.

Nah, Its just that the 5VZFE doesn't have a computer or wiring harness and I talked to ORS and they said there were many combinations of ECU's and harnesses. I think it would cost me to much in time and effort because of this.
The 3RZ will have plenty of power and I don't think I'm going to swap it because I think I will just rebuild the truck it comes in (98 4Runner).
