T-case Gear Ratio ?
« on: Jun 05, 2006, 03:33:39 PM »
What is the stock gear ratio for a Sammi? I just wanna figure out what my ratio is gonna be with a Klune-V David. I have 31's and stock R&P's.

Well that would make my Sammi 101.423:1

That's with stock gears, I wonder what I'd get if I change out the R&P and tcase gears?

3.652 x 6.50 x 4.1 x 5.83 = 567.40:1

Yeah, a doubler on a Sami case can get you crazy low.  The lowest r&p I would run is 5.12's.  I am not sure they can survive all that gearing, but the lower ratios are notoriuos for stripping out.

I believe the low range ratio in the stock box is 2.268:1 btw.
Sami on 35's w/VW 1.9 turbo diesel, W56, dual cases and twin stick, 5.29's, ARB's, YJ's, s/r, etc.

If that's the case (haha) then I'm even lower than I thought. :woohoo:

It crawled really good yesterday, but I did find that I was to low for some stuff and I would shift it to 4wd high and leave the crawl box in low and that made a big difference in getting through stuff. In that setting it is still very low but gave me some accelleration to power through.
