Daihatsu Rocky help!!
« on: May 24, 2006, 11:57:03 PM »
Hi, i recently bought a 1989 Daihatsu Rocky 4x4 with a stick tranny w/out an engine. Which engine would it most likley have had? there is a 1.3l and a 1.6l i dont have a clue and the little metal info plate in the egine compartment seems to have that info erased from its surface... any clues, i know that Daihatsu USA went for broke in 1991 in the US, so i need some help here to figure out which engine im going to look for. I know its not a toyota but i do have a 86 Runner just thought of adding this one to the stable as well....

I found this on Google  :dunno::
Quote
The Daihatsu Rocky is a small, compact SUV sold in the US from 1988 up to 1992. It is a 4-wheel drive compact SUV that is available in three models: SE Soft Top, SE Hard Top, and SX Hard Top. All models are equipped with a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces an ample 94 hp of power. Standard transmission is a 5-speed manual shift with overdrive.

Ya, the 1.6 was in the Rocky, the 1.3 was in the Charade.
