how mush stonger is a 31 spline 9 inch than a toyota v6 rear

Stock to stock they are pretty close, but as far as capability, the 9" can be built to with stand over 1000hp, way more after market options for the 9".

Almost same axle spline, but much bigger ring & pinion, plus the pinion has a extra support bearing.

You won't break one, but will need more power just to turn it. Plus you will have less ground clearance.

If you are wanting a housing, I have one that has been narrowed and has Toyota bearing ends so you can use stock Toy axles.

Also has a welded carrier with 5.29 gears.
