White and yellow, like the residue around the cap or down inside the motor?

its definitely water/coolant in yer engine.  HG, or timing cover.  Either way, it's time for a teardown.

What year is your truck? Probably head gasket, but some of those timing covers would get electrolisys and eat a hole through the back of the timing cover and the water pump will puke coolant into the crank case. "If" that's the case you just need to replace the timing cover, otherwise it's head gasket time.
(and yes, you can replace the timing cover without pulling the head, but it's tricky)

not tricky at all, just drop the oil pan instead of pulling the head....make sure your very nice with the ATV sealant stuff.

yellow oil cap, you have water mixed with oil in the engine....that is not good. fix it before you hydro lock the b*tch

Might consider doing the crank bearings at the same time. I blew a head gasket, same water in the oil. Had a rod knock 3 months after I fixed the head gasket.

Run a compression test to see if it is the head gasket. Otherwise, if this is a 4cyl R-engine, then it will be the front timing cover because the guides were not replaced after they wore out and the timing chain has gone right through the housing and into the water port.

Moisture in the crank case will produce a white mayonnaise substance on the cap.
I am not sure about the yellow coloring. Must be rust or something...... :headscratch:
