I have a 85 4runner made in 84 it is efi solid axle, every 85 smitybuilt bumper I have ever bought comes up 1 inch too wide, I have collected 3 different ones usually cheap, I am in the process of building one, I was just wondering if the frame changed from the 84-85 4runeers, I have compared mine to an 89 and they looked way different, I am stumped, that is why I am asking, thanks all

1 inch too wide to bolt to the outside of the frame? The later models will be diffrent due to the IFS change over. The SB bumpers are cheap cause home built is better, and looks better.
