Shorty Antenna's
« on: Apr 09, 2006, 10:16:06 PM »
Anyone know where to buy a replacement antenna for my 85 pickup. I am interested in a shorty radio antenna, since my garage is pretty small, and the stock antenna hits the cieling. I need something smaller. Anyone know of an exact replacement with the proper threads?

You could take yours out and bring it to the store...autozone, radio shack, and match the threads.

Here is a better question, does anyone make a high quality replacement for my retractable antenna for my 85 sr5, cause I broked it on my garage door!  Ahhh :maddest:
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Thanks guys!!

I bought a rubber shorty antenna that screws into the original location. It comes with several different threaded inserts. Installed it in 10 seconds and works perfect. I picked it up at Auto Zone for $5. Pics come later if you guys want to see it.
