yes, and when the guys you arer driving with cime to you and ask if we are lost or tell me we are in trouble I can allways point at the laptop and say, no look how short we are from the hub.... or look how straight and easy the rest of the way is..... or something like that...

I also use a GPS & a laptop in unfamiliar areas. We truly needed it when out in the Pashimeroi in Idaho a few years ago. We saw one other person in 3 days. A view:

before I got the laptop I was uset to measure my possition  on a map  if I ditn't hafe a track or a route to follow but after the laptop there is no confusion  I can allways see wat's infront of me and drive much more safely, (here in Iceland we can drive allmoust everywhere if there is enough snow)
