Just replaced a friends stock coils in his Runner with Downeys from ORW.
He has ordered longer Ranchos and we'll put the extended brake line on.
Working on Hootman's 4 Runner inspired me to get under my truck.
I just replaced the tweaked Downeys with the stock rear springs left over from my first Toy, an '86. I had bolted the pack together over the years with discarded pieces of packs. My first piece was a Rough Country add-a-leaf, the next was the 2nd or 3rd leaf out of the Downey pack, purchased and installed on the old '86. It sits an inch or so higher than the sagging Downeys that came on this junk, and I haven't driven it yet, but I can tell by bouncing it, the add-a-leafs haven't softened up any over the years.
Will have to pull 'em, maybe put the overloads back in, I'm afraid of bending these, then I'll have to spend hard earned $ on trail junk.
