a little more info on ct 26 swaps in this post towards the bottom...http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=21684.msg245001#new
Boost is boost. It doesn't matter what you use to develop your boost, but in your case, just keep it limited to around 5-7 psi or so using boost controllers. The CT26 (Turbo Mk2 MR2, Turbo Celica Altrac, Single Turbo Supra) is an Excellent choice because it can be found in many wrecking yards and Toyota solved the back pressure issue when they developed this slightly-larger turbo.BigMike
I work with a guy who owns a performance shop and he will do turbos on 22RE's and get about 9 pounds of boost out of them. Granted he really knows what he is doing. He just offered to turbo mine with a turbo off of a supra, he would build a custom header, intercooler and intake. He told me I could probably run about 9 pounds of boost. He said he would do it for me for 1000 dollars, too bad I have a baby on the way and can't do it, but any one from the Portland Vancouver WA area let me know and I will hook you up for about the same deal maybe 1200 at most.
