Topic: Minor swap questions...

I'm getting my Turbo Tranny Swap ready and need to sort out some minor details...
1)Is there any difference in the starters used on early (pre- 89) toyotas and those used on later models? Specifically, is a different starter needed on later 22RE trucks with the larger flywheel, or are they all the same as far as 4 cylinders go?  

2) Will my clutch slave work in the swap or do I need a different model/year???. I have an 88 pickup with a W56.

The ring gear is the same size and tooth count  between the 8-7/8 and the 9-5/16 flywheels. The starters will bolt on. I'm not sure in the wires to the starter are the same conectors through the years.  Your clutch slave will work just fine, there is one slave used from 81-95.

aren't the flywheels exactly the same other than the machined step on them?
