WTB: 89+ 22RE Flywheel
« on: Oct 27, 2003, 08:24:23 AM »
I'm looking for a flywheel to work with my R151F Tranny swap. Either an actual Turbo Tranny flywheel or an 89+ 22re.... Anyone?

Hey there Bud, I believe the flywheel your looking for is a '93-95 22RE type, in those years Toyota used a bigger clutch for the added HP in those years before discontinuing the 22re, I bought a R151 a couple of years ago, the seller wanted to sell me the flywheel for another 75, I asked him to  'cross reference it' he said WOW, I guess it's NOT as rare as he thought, as the '93-95 flywheels are the same, you can verify this through the dealer or any capable wrecking yard....Stew

Yep...
I purchased one last week as a matter of fact. Thanks man.
You wouldn't happen to know if a shifter from a R150F V6 tranny will work in the turbo trans do you?

Hey there Bud, I DO believe the shifters are the same, the one I have is from a '88-91 V6 'R' series 5spd, it has the little vent thingy on the shifter tower, Marlin would be able to verify........$35.00 or $50.00 w/T.C. shifter, Plus shipping to?  from 93065 about 5-6 lbs packaged,.. Stew

I've picked one up already. Thanks anyway. I will keep you in mind in the future should I or someone I know needs one.

Thanks.
