« on: Mar 13, 2006, 08:01:46 PM »
Alright, I am confused :inthedark: , and can't figure this sas brake dealy thing out :hammerhead: ...  So, If i orderd IFS calipers and Rotors, would they bolt up to a straight axle? Whats the difference between those and a landcrusier rotors? :help:

what you want is the s12w v6 ifs calipers with the vented land cruiser rotors.

you can use the s128 4cyl. calipers with the vented rotors but they have 2 big pistons and 2 little pistons the s12w v6 calipers have 4 big pistons

Yes, you can use the 91 4cyl calipers on a solid axle.  You must use them with a vented LandCruiser rotor from a 79-83 FJ40 for them to work.

In a perfect world, you'd use the V6 calipers, as stated by dieselsmoke.  I'm using the 4cyl calipers on my rig and they seem to work fine...

i actually have 2 sets of s13wb calipers to go on my heap, oh yeah 4 wheel disk with the all pro transfer case mounted parking brake.

I will also be using a 1 1/4" chevy master cyl. to squeeze the hell out of those vented rotors

The IFS calipers will work because the bolt pattern stays the same as the SA calipers. The IFS rotors definitely will not work, the difference is in the hub. You must go with Land Cruiser rotors.
