Good responses so far, but I have always been a fan of shag. Buy it used, come with complimentary stains.

Do you want precut, or are you doing a custom number? If you are gonna cut and fit it yourself, go to home depot or lowes and check out their rolles of indoor/outdoor carpeting. Buy just as much as you need and you can get it in all kinds of colors and several different textures/piles. Before you put it in the truck, scotch guard the h-ll out of it, then all stains will come ut with hand held upholstry steam cleaner thing. I got mine for $79 and it works great.
All the same, I would just bedline the whole thing.

i agree you should bedline it. you can get a do it your self kit for like 40 bucks or so. carpet gets old and smelly after wheelin and gettin it muddy, or put in vinyl lineing

OPTIONS:

-do it your self Roll on liner ( cheap N easy to clean) $45-$80

-rhino liner (sound deadening- Not to sharp or abbrasive (easy to clean, Custom colors $80-100

-factory Vinyl floor, or JC whitney (factory look, easy to clean $100.+

-go to wreck yard carpet (smelly and stains $100.+

I went to kragen and bought two rolls of there automotive carpet and then went to a carpet store and bought some padding and carpet adhesive for really cheap and cut in and put it into my old truck a couple days before crashing it and it looked great

You can get a pre cut carpet kit off ebay for around $100-120 usually. They actually seem to be pretty well made too.

Hell, I have 2 sets of carpet, both brown, if you really need some, they are in good shape, although one kinda smells like newport menthols....

the kragen carpet is like $7 a roll and you need two. they are 3x6' or something. I think they have gray, black, brown, blue or something. not really sure it was like a year ago and not really exciting

These guys have vinyl and all sorts of colors that are pre molded and the prices didn't seem to high to me. but I have not ordered through them so I cannot say anything about the service or quality.

Anybody who has done the rhino liner PM me a pic, I have been thinking about this.
