I just read the First Drive of the 2007 FJ Cruiser in the Four Wheeler that is on stands now. They wrote that it will hit showrooms right around the time the magazine gets printed. Has anyone seen a date that dealerships are to get them? My mom wants to go see one as her 4runner is due for retirement, it has deserved it. She wants another Toyota because she has had her 4runner for 8 years/122k, it has been in 13 states and to almost every climbing destination in the state, along with in other states. She really likes the FJ Cruiser and wants to go look, so I have to find out when she can, does anyone know?

I just saw one at the local dealer when I had my Avalon serviced. Nice.

The rumor is dealerships here in SoCal are marking them up over 40K. The yellow one I looked at had all the bells and whistles 5sp, 4wd, the cool inclinometer and showed an MSRP of 30,600. I didn't have enough time, but it looks like a fun drive.

BTW: This spy picture looks like it was taken up in Big Bear.

Spy picture, Ha! That picture is directly from toyotas website. There's a bunch of pictures and stories about the testing they did at big bear, the rubicon, paragon, etc.

Official release date was moved up to yesterday.

I saw a black one with the dealer stickers on it parked at the local ricer tire and rim shop a few days ago so they are out there.
