Attempted Theft
« on: Mar 03, 2006, 01:11:54 PM »
My buddy has been having problems with somone trying to steal his rig.  They have broke into it three times, and have been trying to start it but dont know what they are doing.  :maddest:

Keep your fingers crossed, were gonna catch these fools soon, and leave them six feet under.

We have done some customizing to the truck to make it hard to steel.  Thats why it has not been taken yet.

That is why my 85' sits in the garage, and my SRT-4 sits on the street. Well that, and my SRT-4 needs a SIM key to start it.

all the torture ideas are all fun and great, however just bear in mind that those will get you into far more trouble then the law would give to an attempted car thief.....

Here's what you do!  Put a motion light out there, but don't put bulbs in it.  Put one of those electrical plug in's in it and run a extension cord into the house with a light or a buzzer connected to it!  Motion detector goes off and you'll know it, grab your shotgun and cell phone!  Local farmer had a problem with coyotes and raccoons getting into the chicken and rabbit pens, and he did this set up!  Worked like a charm.

Or, set it up with a camcorder and video tape them trying to get in!  That way you can take it to the police!   It might be that these guys are breaking into alot of peoples rigs!  And this might be the evidence they are looking for!!

Had somethin similar happen. I pulled my Chevelle out of the garage on Saturday with the intent to wash it, but the water froze to the car, so I couldnt. I left it parked in the driveway, the weatherman said that there was 0% chance of rain, so I ifgured I'd let her see the sun. Around 12 am, when I was getting to bed, I heard car doors outside. I looked out, and saw a sketchy white car with a bunch of kids in it out on the road behind my fence. I kept watching, and when I could have sworn I saw one in the yard, I flipped the 4 spotlights in my yard on, and the car took off really fast. I was waiting at the door in my boxers with a 26 oz. TPS aluminum bat. I would have loved to smack some heads, but they never came back. I would have taken all four of em on for my car, even more then my truck.
