DOUBLE SHACKLES???

hey yall what up. im in the process of swapping chevys to the rear and i was wondering if i should do a double shackle setup. also if i do it i plan on using the yota shackle connected to the hanger but then i plan on making my own shackle and i was wondering how long i need it to be?? please post up some pictures and lots of info. thanks for all the help
looking for a 80-85 not built toyota pickup in tenn, nc, sc, virginia can anyone help????

Oh, man, I hate to have to say it, but you gotta do a search about this...we just had a couple page thread about it.  You should find it and read through it...should answer all your questions plus pictures.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Everyone has been guilty of not searching at one point.....Cut 'em a break

I used the stock chevy shackle  inbetween my 2nd shackle and the hanger, and made my 2nd shackle 5 1/2" eye to eye. Anything around there will work out pretty well. I know a lot of people don't like doubles, and a lot of people do. So its up to you and hopefully it helps if you do use them.

On my F150 Spring swap I just used a stock F150 shackle along with mye 6" shackles and just used the stock mounting location. Here is a pic:

This is what I did. These are stock legnth (47") 4 inch lift springs with a dual shackle set up.

'never really cared for mine w/63's...unloaded and would have to get a highlift to get em back to normal...guess i should hae had a limiting strap or something...track bar would hlep also
